Patients with PSC are at risks of liver fibrosis, malignant complications (cholangiocarcinoma, colorectal adenocarcinoma, and gallbladder carcinoma), hepatic osteodystrophy complications (osteoporosis), nonmalignant outcomes (dominant stricture, occur with a cumulative frequency of 36 to 57 % of patients with PSC) and bacterial cholangitis.
